PeopleTec, Inc. Receives 2016 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Huntsville-based government services company, PeopleTec, Inc. was recently named the 2016 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for Region IV by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama’s Research Park, PeopleTec is a growth-oriented, woman-owned small business dedicated to cultivating a people-centric workplace while providing technical excellence to the defense community in support of the warfighter. With over 375 employees, PeopleTec provides diversified engineering, modeling and simulation, cyber security / intelligence, rapid prototyping and program support services to the Department of Defense and Civilian Federal sectors. PeopleTec customers include the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the National Guard Bureau and multiple commands in the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy.
The Regional Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award honors small businesses that provide their Government customers with outstanding goods and services as prime contractors. The selection criteria for the award includes: management qualifications and expertise, exceptional results, and cost performance. PeopleTec was honored as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for Region IV – SBA Southeast, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Small businesses must be nominated by a Federal Agency to receive the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award. PeopleTec was nominated this year by the Office of Small Business Programs at the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command / Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT).
